#BALANCEFORBETTER In 1908, International Women’s Day began when 15,000 bold and heroic women walked the streets of NYC demanding better pay, boldly pushed for shorter hours and the right to vote. In 1975, the United Nations formally gave recognition to International Women’s Day and it is now an official holiday in 27 countries!  (Something for us to consider here in Canada). If you reflect on the sheer magnitude of these words…and FEEL it. The fact that women all around the world, 111 years later, still have to fight for equality defies logic. The struggle is real for every woman, even if we think (and have the illusion) in our minds, that we live in the ‘free world’. We, as women, still cannot be trusted to make decisions about our bodies (including our bodies being bought and sold too), we are not guaranteed freedom from harassment and violence, and or get paid equal wages for the same work men do.  We are…
