I wrote this at 3am this morning. Somehow awake and feeling the sadness from the East Coast Hurrricane (Sandy), the looting, the 1000’s of people who have lost their homes and their (taken for granted) safety. I started to think of Ken, Erinn, Mike and our success and how lucky we are in our lives and these words poured out onto my journal.
Please give us the strength to love and always find forgiveness.
Please help us to grow in empathy, as this is the source of all goodness.
Please help us support one another and encourage one another to be better people.
I pray we can love our customers the way each of them needs to be loved.
I pray we can love our wonderful staff and that they can be encouraged and empowered by us to become better employees and a reflection of us all.
I pray we LOVE what we do everyday and grow into magnificent people.
I pray we can love each other everyday and love what we do every moment. Some things we will get done, other things we won’t, and that’s okay because we have the foresight that it will all work out. All we have is right now. The past is gone and the future may never come. How are we living in the ‘present moment’ right now to be become enlightened souls? How is ‘our story’ telling us to react right now to any given situation?
I pray we can be in the ‘present moment’ as best we can and realize how fortunate we are in our lives.
We have love.
We have abundance.
We have safety in our homes and business.
We have a roof over our heads.
We have dry clothing and an abundance of food.
We get the opportunity to touch people every day and share our kindness (how blessed are we?)
I pray we can find compassion for each other, tolerance for the lacking in our lives and most of all; respect for the power each of us has been given within and to use it wisely.
