|The NEW Kindfood Kitchen|
I think it’s time to address these following questions. :) You know it’s funny, after owning and running these really crazy, busy, delicious food places with my dear family (Erinn, Ken and Mike) for almost 3 years now, you really can’t take it for granted that everyone knows about you. We end up keeping our head in the business so much and get caught up in our own world that we forget there is a world outside :).
The GREAT news is so many more NEW people are coming in to visit and eat and enjoy and had no idea we existed until recently so this post is to get all of you in the know. This post is also for our faithful fans, friends and lovers of what we do. WE LOVE YOU ALL TOO!
So here are the fantastic questions for me to answer publicly.
1. For Kindfood: “Do you guys have a bakery?” YES we do and it’s just around the corner!! :)
2. For Kelly’s Bake Shoppe: “Do you guys have a restaurant?” YES we do and it’s just around the corner!!! :)
3. “Are you Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Egg-Free and Vegan?”: YES!! Both locations are! AND… Actually Kelly’s Bake Shoppe is Nut-Free and Soy-Free too.
4. For both businesses: “How is Kindfood and Kelly’s Bake Shoppe related?” Well, as a family, we opened Kindfood in May of 2010 and in December 2012, we opened our NEW bakery: Kelly’s Bake Shoppe at 401 Brant Street Burlington, (905) 333-1400.
5. “How long has Kindfood been open?” Since May of 2010 and we have gone through two (2) successful renovations at Kindfood to be where we are today. One in January 2011 and the other January 2013.

What a crazy life we’ve had…..What started out as little Kindfood in May of 2010 at 399 John Street as a Vegan Grocery Store, Cafe, Bakery, Smoothie and Juice Bar and Organic Produce department (Ahhh!!) has morphed into something HUGE!
Since May 2010, the bakery kept growing and growing in demand while in Kindfood and we started to burst at the seams realizing we needed more space.
Being 100% Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free and Egg-Free and Vegan Bakery, there was an incredible demand for these products and we had no choice but to get a home for it by itself at 401 Brant Street in Downtown Burlington- literally a two minute walk to Kindfood.
The NEW renovation in JANUARY 2013, that put another 20 seats into the Kindfood has officially given it ‘restaurant’ status and we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome and the number of new faces coming in for lunch and dinner.
I thought I’d share some great shots over the past three years that have taken us to where we are today.
